Liquefied Petroleum Gas or Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG or LP Gas), also referred to as simply propane or butane, is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases used as a fuel in heating appliances, cooking equipment, and vehicles. The LPG moniker has long been established with a global association in relation to Liquefied Petroleum Gases like propane.

For almost 20 years, (1995) the domain name LPG.com™ has been owned and utilized in the distribution of Liquid Petroleum Gas in the midwest region of the continental United States.  The domain name LPG.com™ is a coveted rare three letter combination dot com URL, owned since inception by a single entity,  the Arlis Family and it’s Liquid Petroleum Gas distribution company known as Active Propane Inc. of Illinois, est 1964. The Active Propane LPG distribution operations have recently been acquired (by AmeriGas) separately from the correlating LPG.com™ domain name, which remains the intellectual property of the Arlis Family Estate.
